Cancer Center Expansion Offers Space and Garden Views
Stillwater Medical Center needed to update their existing cancer center and required additional space in order to expand their service offering. REES designed an 8,000-square-foot expansion to hold new offices and exam rooms, allowing two additional physicians to practice in the center. The infusion area was also upgraded and can now hold up to 22 patients. The waiting room is open and spacious, with varied seating and an improved lighting system making the space brighter. In addition, two healing gardens with water features and greenery give patients and staff an opportunity to find tranquility and peace. The large garden is perfect for a group or community setting while the smaller garden allows for private reflection. A stone wall surrounds both gardens to provide privacy and reduce noise.
