An Efficient Modern Hospital for a Rural County

REES designed a 14–bed hospital, 30–bed nursing home, rural health clinic and support facilities. Through careful planning, REES maintained operations of the existing facility while constructing the new 56,000 square foot complex. REES also created solutions to deal with the lack of an available construction labor pool. This was due to a combination of a rural location and the oil business boom in the area. In order to be responsive to the hospital’s budget, we used building materials and systems that are indigenous to the southwest region, sensitive to the environment and resistive to the climatic conditions of West Texas.
