Basement Transformed into Warm and Welcoming Graduate and Faculty Center
The previously staff–only spaces in the University of Oklahoma Bizzell Memorial Library’s Lower Level 2 were transformed into a faculty and graduate student oasis. An open common area in the Zarrow Family Faculty and Graduate Student Center grants everyone access to the Canyon Garden and provides group and individual study space. The faculty and graduate–only areas are defined by a high–performance glass wall system that provides better acoustics, integrates technology and gives an open feeling to the lower level. Individual writing and study spaces are connected to common rooms for group research while six unique collaborative venues bring faculty and graduate communities together.
