An Expansion and Entry Renovation to Better Serve Grady Memorial’s Community

Grady Memorial Hospital wanted to update their surgery department to better serve their community. REES designed a 28,000-square-foot surgery and imaging department expansion and renovation. Our team also worked during the planning phase to improve departmental adjacencies and patient wayfinding. The expanded surgery department is accessible through the existing emergency room for cross-functional convenience. A new hospital entrance was created in the design, featuring a new canopy, registration desk, gift shop and large waiting area. Four operating rooms and procedure rooms were also included in the renovation.
