REES Helps Grant Wish For North Texas Teen

Designing a safe place to play

Designers from REES, The Christman Company and several other organizations recently joined forces to grant a wish for a North Texas teen this summer. Immune-compromised with Down syndrome, non-verbal autism and leukemia, Nathan wanted a safe place to freely play outdoors. The project team worked with A Wish with Wings to design and construct an enclosed outdoor play patio full of tactile activities for Nathan. In addition to designing the sensory activity wall, REES designers helped with permitting documents and provided architectural design and drawings for the patio.

To see the instant gratification from Nathan and his family was beyond special for all of us. Giving back to the community is always rewarding. We couldn’t wait to give this young man a happy and safe place to play.
