Bookstore Redesign at Abilene Christian University Shows Off School Spirit

REES collaborated with Barnes & Noble to renovate Abilene Christian University’s campus bookstore into an upscale setting that will attract the college population. Our design used accent and ambient lighting as well as exposed ceilings to enlarge the space. Suspended ceiling panels assign locations to new departments, assisting in store navigation and positively impacting customer experience. The university’s colors and graphics were used throughout the space to stimulate school spirit. Point-of-sale areas were updated and expanded, creating space for additional registers.
