New Media Hub Focused on Openness and Collaboration

The concept for KOTV’s facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma, focuses on openness, transparency, communication and collaboration. Enclosed offices are limited and glass walls provide transparency. This open concept is also applied to the newsroom and studio, encouraging collaboration between the newsroom and studio teams as well as more variety in their on–air presence. Furniture is an important part of the open planning. Environmental comfort is also an important part of an open concept and KOTV is one of the first broadcast facilities in the country to utilize geothermal design for heating and cooling.
