Raising the Standard for Specialty Care

Digestive Disease Specialists, Inc. (DDSI) envisioned a new home for its growing practice, one that could bring physicians, procedures and support services together in a single destination for care. Previously operating within a hospital setting while physician offices were located elsewhere, DDSI needed a facility better suited to its outpatient endoscopy services and long-term growth. The three-story, 81,700-square-foot endoscopy center and medical office building streamlines the patient experience while supporting the operational needs of a busy digestive healthcare provider. 

The facility brings together endoscopy services, physician clinics and diagnostic support spaces within one cohesive healthcare environment. DDSI’s first floor opens to a welcoming lobby with ample natural light, which flows in through a three-story atrium with clear access to surgical care services. The 30,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art endoscopy center features six procedure rooms, a full pathology lab, pharmacy, pre- and post-patient care rooms and ancillary support spaces. Clinical offices, infusion space, a physician’s lounge and exam rooms occupy the 26,000-square-foot second floor. The third floor was initially planned as shell space before being built out for a specialty physician practice. A lab, exam rooms and conference rooms support DDSI’s innovative clinical trials. By consolidating these functions under one roof, the building creates a more streamlined experience for patients and a highly efficient environment for caregivers. 

Design balances clinical performance with comfort.  A clean, contemporary material palette of warm wood tones, soft neutrals and calming accents creates a welcoming atmosphere. DDSI’s new home is a more convenient, accessible destination for patients, equipped to deliver comprehensive care for years to come.
