Supporting mothers who have completed ReMerge’s program and are continuing the transition into independent, stable lives
ReMerge Oklahoma addresses the root causes of incarceration by empowering women to build self-sufficient futures. In doing so, the organization strengthens families and helps break intergenerational cycles of incarceration. Through their pre-trial diversion programs for high-risk, high-needs mothers facing felony charges for nonviolent crimes, ReMerge has graduated more than 200 women and saved Oklahoma County over $55 million. Since REES designed ReMerge’s headquarters, which opened in 2020, the nonprofit’s community impact has continued to grow.
As more women completed the program and stepped into their next chapter, ReMerge recognized the need to expand their facility. They partnered with REES to design a dedicated place that could continue offering support beyond graduation. The new Graduate Center provides ongoing support for mothers who have completed their recovery programs, helping them transition into independent, stable lives.
Thoughtfully designed to foster community, connection and growth, the 4,000-square-foot center offers welcoming, family-friendly spaces, essential services and opportunities for continued development. The heart of the Graduate Center is a gathering space that accommodates community events and training. This flexible, open space allows graduates to reconnect with their ReMerge sisters, host their families and continue their journey of “ReMerge Forever.”
A generous floor-to-ceiling clothing closet provides curated professional attire for graduates to borrow, supporting job interviews and key life milestones. A family reunification room creates a comfortable, child-friendly setting to support rebuilding relationships. Nearby advisor offices offer space for ongoing guidance and mentorship, reinforcing ReMerge’s mission of holistic support.
REES-designers also revitalized key areas of the original headquarters to better serve the organization’s evolving needs. The renovations introduced an expanded dining space, a new training room, community partner areas and updated offices, ensuring the entire facility continues to support the organization’s growing impact and vision for the future.
