Historic “Benz” Building Becomes Modern, Collaborative Flintco Office

When Flintco reached out to REES during their relocation effort, they had a vision of an enduring environment for their team to live, work and play. With a history of successful collaborations, Flintco entrusted REES to design an office that merged the historical importance of their new location with Flintco’s identity as a construction industry leader.

Originally built as a Mercedes dealership in the 1980’s, Flintco’s new office location would undergo a complete renovation. The revamped space incorporates a combination of private offices and temporary workstations, all equipped with standing desks to foster employee wellness and efficiency. Expansive meeting rooms equipped with state-of-the-art technology ensure seamless connectivity and cross-collaboration. Flintco’s new office enables the company to host employees from other locations, hold trainings and conduct meetings simultaneously. A large, central breakroom features a custom pool table engraved with Flintco’s distinctive logo. Additionally, employees enjoy amenities such as a private gym and an outdoor patio, coupled with the convenience of nearby Downtown Oklahoma City dining options, all within walking distance.

The incorporation of steel and exposed ceilings create an industrial, modern feel, resonating with Flintco’s core industry. Paying homage to its past life, the restoration effort preserves the original Mercedes dealership flooring, now an integral part of the character of Flintco’s modern workspace.
